With 22 years of experience as a licensed Cosmetologist and Esthetician in VT, NH and MA , I am so excited that my business has exceeded my expectations in this warm and welcoming community. I opened in January 2020, and in an all too common refrain for businesses that opened around this time, I was mandated closed when Covid hit from mid-March to June 3rd, after only being open two and a half months. Not only did we manage to stay open, we somehow thrived thru Covid all by word of mouth, especially as people realized the importance of self-care during those trying times.
I grew up locally. David and Andrea Whitman were my mentors. I took their advice and moved away to go to a large cosmetology school and get experience in big city spas. After ten years at two of the top spas in central MA and many freelance makeup gigs, I moved back to the area with a dream to bring the Brattleboro area its first full-scale spa. Every year since opening, we have added more space, services, and staff.
We offer the cleanest pedi tubs in town, staff with advanced knowledge, and care for our clients. At Purple Sarah, you are more than a dollar sign and another body thru the door. We want you to know how much we value your business and tailor our services to each client’s individual wants and needs.

Bridgette is the spa's Floor Manager and has been a licensed Cosmetologist Esthetician in Vermont for 19 years. She specializes in body waxing, ethnic hair, and nails. She brings an extreme amount of nail knowledge and loves to educate her clients on the best way to keep them healthy.

Need a massage? Look no further! She recently finished up her schooling for massage, and is taking clients for Deep Tissue and Regular. You are in good hands with Alisha!

After leaving nail salons feeling rushed and unheard time after time, she decided to teach herself. She transformed her passion for painting onto a smaller canvas creating wearable works of art. She realized at a young age that she loved being involved with everything skincare, make up, waxing and now lashes!

Nina is a licensed Esthetician (VT,NH). She has been dabbling in skincare since her teen years, taking it upon herself to care for all of her waxing and skin care needs. Nina felt it was about time she moved forward with training, and is excited about what she will learn in her new career!

Karen is a graduate of Whitmans Hair Design. She has 34 years in the industry and likes all aspects of cosmetology. Her specialty is all forms of color and making people feel good. She has continued her education with Paul Mitchell and AVEDA just to name a few. On her off time she is a single mom that loves cheering her son on at his sporting events.

Phoebe is new to our team and would love to work with you (and your hair)! When she is not in the salon she enjoys spending time with her amazing partner, cat, and tending to her plants. She specializes in any hair cut with lots of texture. Phoebe also loves to work with the natural movement of the hair to ensure that it looks great not only right out of the salon, but every day at home.

Natalie is our new licensed Esthetician and graduate of Keene Beauty Academy. She started at KBA last fall after graduating from BUHS last spring. You may have seen her during some job shadowing and observation hours she did with Sarah over the last year. She is also our newest nail technician.
