Who We Are

With 22 years of experience as a licensed Cosmetologist and Esthetician in VT, NH and MA , I am so excited that my business has  exceeded my expectations in this warm and  welcoming community. I opened in January 2020, and in an all too common  refrain for businesses that opened around this time, I was mandated  closed when Covid hit from mid-March to June 3rd, after only being open  two and a half months. Not only did we manage to stay open, we somehow  thrived thru Covid all by word of mouth, especially as people realized  the importance of self-care during those trying times.

I grew up  locally. David and Andrea Whitman were my mentors. I took their advice and moved away to go to a large cosmetology school and get experience in  big city spas. After ten years at two of the top spas in central MA and  many freelance makeup gigs, I moved back to the area with a dream to  bring the Brattleboro area its first full-scale spa. Every year since  opening, we have added more space, services, and staff.  

 We offer the cleanest pedi tubs in town, staff with advanced knowledge,  and care for our clients. At Purple Sarah, you are more than a dollar  sign and another body thru the door. Licensed in VT as a nail Technician since January 2023, Alisha was Bridgettes's apprentice. She is rapidly filling up her books with return and new clients requesting her nail skills.

Need a massage? Look no further! She recently finished up her extensive schooling in massage, and is taking clients for Deep Tissue and Regular.  She also offers warm bamboo massage as an option. You are in good hands with Alisha!

Michelle is our artsy nail technician who does amazing design work! She has had a love of art and beauty since a young age. After leaving nail salons feeling rushed and unheard time after time, she decided to teach herself. She transformed her passion for painting onto a smaller canvas creating wearable works of art. Michelle hopes to continue honing her skills and pushing the boundaries of creativity with unique designs and attention to detail.

Tatiana specializes in Microblading eyebrows.

 For  as long as she can remember she has always been involved in Beauty and  cosmetics! Tatiana is  a passionate Permanent Makeup artist and specializes in microblading and powder brows. She believes that both techniques are more  than just a procedure it’s a transformative art that can enhance and  improve not just your appearance but also your confidence. Tatiana is committed to creating and personalizing beautiful Brows! 

Looking for Therapeutic Massage? Molly will be working part-time for us, and offering different types of integrative massage. She has over 15 years of experience practicing body work. It's been a huge part of her life and she is passionate about what she does. Her area of study was modalities including Neuromuscular, swedish, shiatsu, prenatal, myofascial release and more. She is also certified in myoskelatal alignment and polarity therapy. If you have chronic/acute pain, anxiety, or are recovering from surgery she loves to work with clients on this. Amanda joins us with a deep understanding of the human body and natural sense of empathy and warmth.  Bodywork and specifically ashiatsu barefoot massage is her true passion.  Ashiatsu barefoot massage resets, aligns, and calms the nervous system to deeply nourish the body in a unique and profound way.  Her medical background in ultrasonography and radiology for the past ten years adds experience caring for others as well as structural knowledge of the body.  She approaches bodywork acknowleding the reciprocal relationship between therapist and client, listening to the body and becoming a vessel to best aid in healing and relaxation based on what the body is saying.  Amanda offers deep tissue therapeutic hands on massage, ashiatsu barefoot massage, cupping, gua sha, clothed   

Stretching sessions, Scalp with neck and facial cupping, and Swedish Relaxation massage.
